Reclaim clarity, build strategy, and set your school up for 2027.

A two-day intensive for school leadership teams, hosted by Nicole Dyson, Louka Parry, and Dr Selena Fisk.
Dedicated time for your leadership team to translate possibility into future practice.

WHAT IS INFORMED FUTURES?

Not a talk-fest. Your team’s strategy session.

Most school leadership teams are time-poor and pulled in a hundred directions. It’s the reality of working in dynamic environments.

Because of this, it is vital to create the space to step back as a team, align on what matters, and build a plan for school improvement. We’ve designed InformED Futures to create that space for you.

Over two days, your team will explore the latest trends impacting education, reflect on your school’s current reality through data, identify what matters most, and create the plan to make it happen.

This isn’t about doing more, it’s about getting better together.

Open to primary and secondary school leadership teams who want to make 2027 a success.

You'll leave with

  • A shared strategic vision and clearly defined school priorities for 2027

  • A data-informed picture of where your school currently sits across key pillars - attainment, attendance, engagement, and wellbeing

  • A clear line from your strategy to what happens in classrooms - the pedagogy that delivers on your vision

  • An action plan with goals, milestones, responsibilities, and a roadmap your team can lead with confidence

  • Strategies for identifying and solving the real barriers to change before they derail you

  • Connections with leaders from government, Catholic, and independent schools working on the same challenges

Genuine school change happens in the classroom. Every session at InformED Futures is engineered to help your leadership team get specific. Not just about what you want your school to be, but about how that shows up in learning, and how you'll know it's working.

Spaces are limited to 20 schools per city, with up to 5 people per school. This small cohort is intentional - it's what allows the work to go deep.

  • Dr Selena Fisk — insights and evidence facilitator, Informed Futures

    Dr Selena Fisk

    INSIGHTS & EVIDENCE

Dr Selena Fisk is an author, speaker and data storyteller who helps educators and school leaders use data in ways that are practical, meaningful and focused on improving outcomes for young people. She has 16 years' experience as a teacher and school leader across Australia and the United Kingdom. That experience shaped the way she now works with schools: grounded in the realities of classrooms, honest about the pressures educators face, and focused on making data useful rather than overwhelming.

Her doctoral research at Queensland University of Technology explored students’ and teachers’ perceptions of feedback in Queensland secondary schools. It reinforced something Selena had seen throughout her career: schools are rarely short on data, but they often need clearer, more human ways to turn that data into better conversations, better decisions and better learning.

Selena is the author of four books on data storytelling and evidence-informed practice, the creator of the Make Data Talk podcast, the Founder and Director at DataWorks Institute, and the creator of Data Champions, a 12-month action research program that supports educators to build confidence and capability with data. In 2024 she was awarded the Australian Council for Educational Leaders Hedley Beare Award for Educational Writing.

Selena works with schools, systems and education organisations across Australia and internationally to build data-informed cultures. Her work has supported thousands of leaders and teachers to ask better questions, make evidence-informed decisions, and keep students at the centre of the process. Selena's approach brings rigour and humanity together, helping educators make sense of evidence in ways that are accessible, purposeful and genuinely useful.
